IRHSA April 10th Meeting
Kings Baptist Church, Vero Beach

Topics will be:
The end of the year is approaching. Are you ready? Come hear what is required in a portfolio and see other homeschool mom’s portfolios. Also, hear what is needed, or not needed, in an evaluation.
Open Mike Night
after the IRHSA meeting, all children are welcome to step up to the microphone and share a memorized poem, bible verse, or a short selection from a favorite book. This will take place directly after the portfolio discussion. You won’t want to miss it! Come out and support the kids! (Please limit each child’s recitation to 3 minutes.)

Hello all,
We would like to welcome all members to a Homeschool Art Show and Valentine's Day Fellowship for the February meeting.
On Monday, February 13th, 7:00pm, at KINGS Baptist Church, we are asking children and teenagers to bring their
original artwork, poetry, sewing, short stories and photography to share. Please have an index card with your child's name
and age to display next to each item. Children may decorate a science board with their items if they wish.
We will have a craft table so that younger ones will be able to make a Valentine
for a loved one. They can also bring Valentines and snacks to exchange with friends.
Please email me with the number of items you will be bringing and if you plan to bring a snack. Thanks!

Hello everyone,
The IRHSA spelling bee is Thur 1/26 at 7:00 at FCOG in the Wave (youth wing). The curriculum/portfolio meeting will also be set up before and after the bee (in the cabana area) for everyone to browse and ask questions. Come share your studies and support the spelling bee participants. |

IRHSA Membership is NOW OPEN!
PLEASE DO NOT MAIL IN YOUR IRHSA MEMBERSHIP REGISTRATION! ALL registrations will be completed online.
Click "IRHSA Membership" on the left to get started. Click on the "Details" button and fill in the necessary information. You may choose any Username & Password that you like. Once you have paid for IRHSA Membership using PayPal, you will receive an email confirmation which you'll need to click on. Be sure to check your spam folder if you don't receive an email within a few minutes. Then, as soon as you are verified as a paid member, you will receive a second email informing you of your approval. That's it! You may then log in with your chosen Username & Password.

Indian River Homeschoolers Association, Inc. is a Christian-based, but not an exclusively Christian organization.
Our purpose is:
• To provide moral support and encouragement to parents who desire to home educate their children.
• To share information and exchange ideas in every way possible with parents who choose to home educate.
• To stay informed of and encourage participation in issues affecting the rights of home educators.
• To provide social and educational opportunities in the form of field trips and special events.
Monthly Support Group Meetings
IRHSA has Regular Meetings at 7 pm at First Church of God every second Tuesday of the month. There is a Newcomers Meeting, which addresses concerns and questions from new homeschoolers and is open to anyone interested in homeschooling, held at 6 pm, before the Regular Meeting. Please feel free to stay for the Regular Meeting. (Note: In October and March we have Home Fellowship meetings instead of the Regular and Newcomers Meeting. Also, there are no meetings during the summer months of June and July.) Locations are the Youth Wing and occasionally the Cafeteria.
All children present at the monthly support meetings must stay with their parents throughout the duration of the meeting.
Association membership shall be enjoyed by all persons who support the purposes of the Association and who have paid their online membership dues and have agreed to the Terms & Conditions as set forth in the membership application.
