Christy Weatherholt was raised in South Africa and met her husband of 20 years, Robby Weatherholt, at Southeastern University in Lakeland. She graduated from SEU with a B.A. in Music Education. Together they have served in full time ministry since 1995. They have been blessed with four children - Jessica (13), Kylie (11), Makayla (3), and Joshua (1). Christy has taught in public & private schools, been a private music instructor, and served as a worship & arts pastor at various churches. She has been homeschooling for 8 years and loves to help and encourage others in their homeschooling journey.

Elaine has been married to Cliff Nord for 18 years. Their "love" story is HIS story. It's a powerful testimony of perseverance and trust . Another dream come true, was the day she found out she was pregnant with her daughter, who is now in 4th grade. She has been passionately homeschooling her since she was 5 years of age.

Elaine and her husband are ordained ministers who have served faithfully in the capacity of leadership within the local church community and as well in several established ministries. Elaine is a very passionate person. Her passion is her family, praying, helping others reach their full potential through discipleship, reading, singing and spending time with those she loves name a few.

Karen was born and raised in Alabama and attended the University of Alabama where she studied Computer Science. For the next eleven years she co-owned and managed two large franchises based out of Birmingham, AL. In 2009 she began homeschooling her three daughters and relocated to Florida the same year. She was a regional manager for an international homeschool organization which entailed event planning, recruiting directors and developing and managing homeschool communities in the East Coast Florida region. Karen is the project manager in a web development company where she employs various internet skills including technical suppport, programming and content management.

Her oldest daughter (18) is a homeschool graduate and is working on her bachelor's degree, her middle daughter (16) is a Junior in high school, and her youngest (7) is in second grade. Karen is thankful for her journey and is enjoying every minute of influence she has in her children's education.

Member Over Education: Jackie Rosario

Jacqueline Rosario is a woman of the Word, a wife, and a mom. Her husband is Milton and her 7 year old son is Nicholas. They have lived in Vero Beach for almost 8 years. A true New Yorker at heart, she loves hailing a cab in Manhattan, New York Chinese Food and living in a city that never sleeps. Jackie met her husband at Christ Tabernacle, in Queens, where they both served in ministry in 2004. They have now been married 10 1/2 years.  Since moving to Vero, her family has been blessed with great friends, a fantastic church, and a wonderful life group. After college Jackie taught English as a Second Language to secondary school students as well as adults.  She later became an assistant principal for a high school in Brooklyn and served in both capacities here in Florida as well.  About a year and a half ago, her family decided to take the step and homeschool their son.  It has been an amazing journey thus far. She implements many of the teaching and learning strategies she experienced over her 15 year career in education with her son at home. The Rosario’s are grateful for the opportunity and prays they can continue homeschooling for as long as God grants them the ability to do so.  Now, as one of the newest board members of The Indian River Homeschool Association, she is excited to offer support, and to be a resource to all homeschoolers.

Recreation: Anne Marie Sales

Anne Marie graduated from Southern College in Tennessee with a Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science, with an emphasis in family studies.  Upon graduation, she moved to Connecticut where she obtained a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Fairfield University. She also met her husband of 13 years in Connecticut. She has worked as a therapist in the fields of Substance Abuse and Mental Health in a variety of capacities.

Anne Marie states, “In 2005, my husband and I moved to Vero Beach where the greatest blessings in our lives where born, Sebastian, 8 years old and Alyssa, 5 years old. I have had the privilege of home schooling Sebastian for the past 2 years and I look forward to continuing this journey of home schooling and serving the IRHSA community.”
