Welcome to IRHSA.net

Indian River Homeschoolers Association, Inc. is a Christian-based, but not an exclusively Christian organization.

Our purpose is:
• To provide moral support and encouragement to parents who desire to home educate their children.
• To share information and exchange ideas in every way possible with parents who choose to home educate.
• To stay informed of and encourage participation in issues affecting the rights of home educators.
• To provide social and educational opportunities in the form of field trips and special events.

Association membership shall be enjoyed by all persons who support the purposes of the Association and who have paid dues and signed the release form.

Our group has yearly, monthly, and weekly activities that offer social, educational, and recreational opportunities. For example, we have a science fair, a talent night, geography and spelling bees, a curriculum fair, end-of-the year picnic and recognition night. There are always opportunities to participate in organized and impromptu park days and other activities. We also participate in Scholastic Books, Book-It, and C.H.A.A. Saints.

Monthly Support Group Meetings:

**NOTE** NOVEMBER MEETING MOVED To the 4th
IRHSA has Regular Meetings at 7 pm at First Church of God every second Tuesday of the month. FCOG is located on 58th Avenue, less than 2 miles south of SR60 in Vero Beach. There is a Newcomers Meeting, which addresses concerns and questions from new homeschoolers and is open to anyone interested in homeschooling, held at 6 pm, before the Regular Meeting. Please feel free to stay for the Regular Meeting. (Note: In October and March we have Home Fellowship meetings instead of the Regular and Newcomers Meeting. Also, there are no meetings during the summer months of June and July.)

Childcare will be provided at the Regular Support Group meetings if needed. Reservations must be made in advance to provide adequate workers, and there is a cap of 48 children.

All children must be either with their parents in the meeting or in childcare.
